Stone Gate is a 17-acre oceanfront retreat on the west end of Grand Bahamas Island in Bootle Bay.
Each of the The Stone Gate Villas have spectacular ocean views. The home offers 1,350 square feet of living space which includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, full modern kitchen, wrap-around porches, French doors and numerous windows to let guests enjoy the views and ocean breezes.
Amenities include washer / dryer, stove / oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas grill, air conditioning, cable TV, and wireless internet. Kitchen has all the pots, pans and dishes you will need for your whole family or group. Stone Gate also has their own flats fishing boat with a expert guide on call, plus property management right on-site.
Stone Gate features a community pool and hot tub with beautiful sun deck, white sand beach and a magnificent coral reef just 100 feet offshore. Guests have complimentary use of 2 kayaks, paddleboard, snorkel gear, and beach volleyball court.
This residential retreat is near the international airport, medical facilities, grocery stores, fishing, boating, restaurants, casinos and golf courses. Close by are several fine dining restaurants plus local establishments in the village of West End.
For guests traveling by private boat, slips are available at Blue Marlin Cove (1/2 mile away) and at Old Bahama Bay (3 miles away). Stone Gate management can help arrange transportation to and from the marinas for guests.

Summary: We came to experience the beauty of the ocean, and we were NOT disappointed! Our villa was right on the beach, and every day/evening we took a long walk along the beach, and EVERY SINGLE DAY we were the only ones on the beach--something I've never experienced before. SO wonderfully relaxing! We brought water shoes (there are some rocky areas--not horrible, just not for bare feet), and the other thing we did almost every day was to snorkel RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR VILLA. Again, a first for us, and it was lovely. I wish I'd brought a book about fish in the Bahamas; I'd love to know more about the fish we say. And speaking of fish, we ate so incredibly well. We went to Old Bahama Bay twice, and once some fisherman who were flying back offered us some fish, and we accepted--and had the BEST fish (turned out to be Wahoo) that I'd ever had in my life. It was stupendous. We came back again for the fresh lobster. It, too, was the best we'd had. I can't say enough about our host, Princess, too. Anything we needed--chairs, towels, bug spray--she was able to get it for us. Plus she was simply delightful. She suggested we go to Port Lucaya, the straw market, and we got some fun gifts (baskets, clothes, etc.) to take back home. All in all, it was a magical stay--I hope we can come back!

Summary: We had to reschedule due to hurricane and the host was so accommodating and when we arrived Princess stole the show. She is a ray of sunshine, always there when we needed her and took us to some of the best local places where the food and experience was exceptional!!

Summary: We had a great stay. Princess was an excellent host. There was a beautiful reef right off the private beach. Located close to some great places for food and drink. Waves, teasers. We especially loved how quiet and secluded we felt. We will definitely be back!

Summary: Pros: Oceanfront and secluded location. Nearby reef, great for snorkeling. Great for quiet retreat. Superb and friendly services from onsite host, who also serves as a private chef and driver for local transportation. Cons: Bed linens and towels were not clean. Kitchen not well equipped with basic supplies. No bathroom toiletries were provided. House had some maintenance issues with hot water and broken dishwasher. Lots of outdoor bugs. Beach area was rocky (water shoes needed). No paddle boards provided as advertised.

Summary: This villa is amazing and with a view right on the beach you can’t beat it ! Definitely a hidden jewel. All the action is 40 minutes away which was a little disappointing but the peace was indescribable and definitely relaxing ! Can’t wait to come back !
